My Race Philanthropy

A key tenet of the Clipper Round the World Race is philanthropy.  With crews composed from around the world, our focus on sustainability, and time spent in each leg on a community event, philanthropy has underpinned the Clipper Race since the beginning.  For my race, I am asking you to partner with me to raise a collective $40,000, (one US dollar for each kilometer of the earth's circumference!) for two worthy organization's:  UNICEF (Official Clipper Race charity partner) and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in honor of my brother, Dr. Jay Faris who was diagnosed with Parkinson's in December 2020.

My race around the world will be epic, tough, and require incredible support from my friends and family like you...but our children around the world need our support through the amazing programs sponsored by UNICEF and we must cure this debilitating Parkinson's disease which afflicts far too many, far too early in their productive lives...join me as I race and fund raise, won't you?

Thank You!

Donate to the Michael J. Fox Foundation

In honor of my younger brother, Dr. Jay Faris, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2020, I have joined Team Fox to raise funds to beat this disease.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.

My Clipper Race

1

My Race Beginning

My race began in the spring of 2019, when I was originally going to do the 2021-2022 version of the Clipper Race...well before we had any inkling that we would be beset by a global pandemic!

2

My Race Execution

The 2023-2024 Clipper Race is composed of 8 legs around the world, composed of 11 identical boats, 11 skippers/first mates,  and over 700 crew, from around the world!  For the next 11 months we will circle the globe, cross 6 oceans and travel over 40,000 kilometers!
